If you are considering getting sports or leisure gear from the internet, especially from someone selling second hand expensive gear on sites like ebay or other auction sites, use whatever contact details you have for them and run reverse lookup checks. This could save you being scammed and losing a lot of money. The internet has some great bargains but the problem is that it is very easy for someone to anonymously setup an online store which appears to be legitimate, selling golf, or football, or anby sports gear at massive discounts. Only when you actually try and buy do you find it is all a scam, and it can be incredibly difficult to track them down. Using a research site will alert you in advance that this may be happening.
